Poisoning is now the leading cause of death from injuries in the United States – ahead of motor vehicle crashes and guns. In an effort to prevent unnecessary deaths, the North Texas Poison Center is proud to provide the public with poison information and emergency poisoning assistance via our Poison Help Hotline (1-800-222-1222). Our Poison Center responds to calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week in order to help those who have been exposed to toxic substances. We believe that prevention is the best possible medicine.  During our presentation, we will talk about how the poison center works, how the poison center can help your family and, most importantly, how to poison-proof your home to keep little ones safe.
